no problem Glen. Its been tough and we have a lot to sort out.

Brit has donated webspace to get us started
The old site was hacked that bad it wasnt able to be recovered and it was too big to be backed up with the tools we were given

so we start again :D

Servers well I am arranging for our servers to be picked up from our old host and am looking for a new home for them

The site will be moved back to www.xgn.com.au (http://www.xgn.com.au) on wed or thursday. DirtyJoe is in Darwin till tuesday and will organise the hosting transfer with Brit when he gets back. Until then Xtreme Teams have given me a subdomain to start rebuilding the site.

Its good to know XGN isn't dead. Certainly all the down time makes it easy to appreciate how good it once was. F1A would definately like to return so an F1A subforum would be great but I'll wait until you've got XGN sorted to start worrying about all the little detail and our own subforums.

this would pave the way for the rebuilding of the Xtreme Teams part of the forums which would also accomodate XDF etc.

Alrighty then, I'm just trying to remember what they were before. Off the top of my head they were Incidents, Media, Off Topic and an Admin board just for the admins which were myself, Brado and Jester who I suppose will have to register here first.

Thanks Glen I will organise a mod for this soon

At the moment Brit is covering hosting costs and I am covering Software and licencing fees but I would like to start a fund for next year.

I also have to work out some sort of server fees once i can get costs together and a decent host found.

The forum software has a subscription function which I could configure for hosting costs

There will be plenty of time for donations and working out how we fund this entity that wont die lol first we rebuild the site. :)

Brit I think just a link is best people will get confused otherwise.

The link is done Xtreme teams should remain a seperate entity It was our back up site this time and you never know it may be useful again if we cant fund xgn as a stand alone.

I will get to this soon but for now I want the members to rebuild the site with a full flow of ideas.

It is the members who have made me put in the effort to make the move so I want the site to reflect their enthusiasm for XGN.

We have over 100 posts in one day and the board has not gone live on the domain yet goodness knows how people are finding us


An Admin forum of course will be needed in the next week for now just pm me or give me a ring

(forum permissions are a biatch and I would rather spend time putting up heaps of pub forums than spending time nutting out a new permissions system. I have made one private forum for F1A but the permissions need to be structured so I want to take time over them as the previous board was a lil nightmarish in that regard)
