With the Aus-Modders Bathurst Legends 1969 being released this sunday at 10am.
I think we may need to hook up abit of a multi-mod races around bathurst, with HistoriX and Bath. Legends.
Maybe Glen and Golly can have a chat and we can do a Ausfactor V XGN races.
Just and idea and putting it out there.

unfortunately you cant gents, unless you create a custom RFM file and add to each cars veh file the settings. Historix cannot be run with other mods unfortunately.... very sad, honourable idea lads...

I have been trying to avoid buying rFactor, i was intending to look at iRacing instead, but you guys are making it very difficult... The Bathurst Legends mod has me weak at the knees.....
What do you reckon FT, how does it drive V P&G?????
Cheers

Feeling a little awkward now, giving advice, I will hold my decision until I have some empirical evidence to add to my gut feeling. I will do some same car, same setup, same track, testing in both sims and let you know.
I have only just got my FFB and wheel settings sorted in HistorX on Sunday, which elevated the driving experience and will be able to better compare them.
From a gut feeling the two are on par, with a leaning to HistoriX, but I have said this before, the racers make the sim. I think I will be in the NoGrip P&G League and the XGN HistorX racing, both IMHO are a quantum leap from the Great GTLegends. Both these sims have changed my driving effectiveness from my really really crappy driving in the past (a good pc and wheel combo may have been the catalyst too).
So far having fun in both.

ahh, I was in "thick mode" haha.
Okay, rpo, I haven't had the pleasure of the Bathurst mod, just the videos, but if I can drive like "Stormin' Norman" in a Monaro I'll be there!
(hope they have some Mopar too!)

Actually both mods interest me, the Bathurst one though sounds spectacular.
My issue is i drove the V8 mod at redline racing when i bought my Hyperstimulator, and found the controls felt dead, i am usually pretty handy around the mountain, but in rFactor i couldn't complete 1 lap cleanly.
In fairness though, when i drove P&G for the first time i thought the same, setup is critical, so maybe that was the issue at Redline. They were using there league default setups, so maybe the setup didn't suit my driving style. I do use, er unconventional setups
I'm only after a seat of the pants feel Bruce, do you feel connected when driving, lap times don't matter, it's whether it feels right or not, is key for me.
Any of you guys tried iRacing?? I was speaking to Matt, and he seems hooked.

Thanks Golly, bad luck for the mixed fields but we could have alternating mods,
same track
different mod
alternate weeks/race nights
This will allow us to appreciate the fantastic work of both mods
Create some added interest
reduce the learning curve on tracks
increase the width of options within XGN without reducing the depth...

Yeh, I've got it and while the driving is very good, the lack of League action is a real downer. Its like scheduled pickup races, every 2 hours, you dont know who your racing, and atm, for me at least, lacks any sort of real excitement.
Might improve as numbers increase. Potential real drain on resources too, plus you have to think, its probably never going to have the sort of tracks or cars you want(think Aussie)
Atm, it only has one non-US track and one non US car. No Ferraris, Porsches, V8Supercars,F1's etc, etc.

had a look, didn't like the 'subscription' method, rather donate here once in a while and have some control...
ohh and I don't like the cars! hahaha
