Hey Bruce,

What times are you doing?

A group of us were on last night, both Kym and myself were in the 1:11's. With J Alesi cutting low 1:12's

It will be interesting to see what those pesky Alfa's are capable of, that long back straight will suit them, but the front straight may be their undoing :tape:

The Cortina is really suited to this track, it is a ball to drive, though i did end up on my lid about 3 times last night, trying to perfect my drift into turn 3 :bananapartyhat:

Ol timers disease kicking in here, i think i was in the 1:14s, espesh when I did take your previous advice about braking as these things are still relatively slow, and braked hard & late into the right hander after the back straight and picked up some time.
I also found there was very little gear changing, i was able to hold 3rd in some corners making it a smoother transition.

What time were you guys on last night? I was looking for some practice around 8pm but nobody was there :( I managed a few quick laps offline, high 1:12s but there's room for improvement, especially the sweeping right-hander before the start/finish. Do you guys change in 3rd or hold 4th gear through there?

fortunately the bump isn't as BIG as in GTL version, I often got thrown off line, or maybe I'm better now...

OK, Some of us were talking about the realism of these cars, especially the Cortina, the driver I was thinking of was Jim Clark.
Here is a 1964 race from Crystal Palace, England.

Here is an idea of laptimes so far..

Its the driver commitment in the first clip that impresses me. Fantastic cars on the limit of their chassis, brakes and tyres. The essence of touring car racing. Bring it back I say. Shame about the more 'artificial' V8 Supercars really.

I second that, did you apply the UI update? I haven't yet for fear of mismatches.

Yer i just found that UI update, might download it and wait for imperious to get back to us or someone that would know.

EDIT: I just thought stuff it and installed the UI interface update, and that is what imperious has installed. It looks good.

Guys the only way you can cause MM with the server is if you change the HDV file or your car skin is incorrect, the rest you can change what you like.

I've been using this UI update for months, no problems whatsoever.

This was actually mentioned here some time ago, and someone said something about possible issues with the server, but I installed it anyway, and as I already said, no problems.
