My first podium finish! :third:
haha Sorry couldn't resist it. :)
Even if the field was small, it was an exciting event as the inaugural race for HistorX at XGN.
Picked up a 1:39:xx in qual and repeated it at times during the race, noted that my prediction of experiencing the Doppler Effect of the Mustangs exhaust pulling away from Snakeyes' Alfa and me, was true, but enjoyed the roar of the Mustangs in the latter laps as they went streaking past on the parallel track sections where the tracks are close.
I was waiting for a "big off" to sneak up a spot but Glen and Grant were too consistent :censored:
I had 2 (maybe more), little loss of concentration and entered a turn a little late and found my self in the picnic spots, but was determined to finish and get some points, so very "easy, easy" came back on track.
Loved the hump at "Mountains", got the little mini spinning in second heading up the hump, flat shift to 3rd and spinning over the hump on to the "Hall Bends".
Will have a race autopsy tonight for my own pleasure and get some piccs up tomorrow.
Thanks for the fun, that Cadwell track is a fantastic track, look forward to using it again.
Bad luck Snakeyes your little alfa was a little twitchy at times and must have been a little frustrating in the race.

Yeh, that was great fun, ya gotta get into it everyone, its by far the best mod for rFactor, the physics are brilliant. Had a ball last night chasing Glen, have a feeling he was just keeping a gap, and could have driven away, but still great fun. Those Mustangs are fantastic to drive, steering with the throttle, and no nasty surprises.
I love GTL and this is about 25% better imho, big fields and it would be an awesome league, so get in there and give it a go.

Hi XK, yep were back in the racing business here at XGN.
Good timing with the HistorX just taking effect around the scene. If you have rFactor, you need to install the mod, get over here when you get a chance. I will still be in the P&G group, but this will be sharing my time in SimLand.
Not sure if the GTL will get off the ground again, well not by me I sorry, HistorX is such a fantastic mod. Having experienced P&G and HistorX, I don't think I could go back, I may not be a pundit on the subject, GTL gave me plenty of racing pleasure, I don't think I will be going back to it.
With "Bathurst Legends" coming online this weekend, if they can marry HistorX & Bathurst Legends , should give us some exciting mixes of races.
Cya Soon.,

Hey guys good to read some nice reports, My night i did a PB in practise almost cracking a 1:34, I thought i was pushing the Mustang as hard as it could go but there is still more there, Such a great car but i must move onto another selection next race and try race them all in S1.
The race, i was glad to see grant in another mustang. I got a good start but was a bit nervy as i know grant is no easy beat, i opened a gap more on the opening laps but grant fighted back well. Fortunatley for me he never got quite close enough to force a mistake. Not the best track for overtaking but very easy to make mistakes on.
The field was small but i hope everyone continues to show up and let the fields get bigger. Hopefully all the GTL guys will believe Flattop and Grant when they say this mod is really hot.
See you all next week.
PS i dont mind doing 2 races with small fields if everyone else wants to.
PPS im sure Acerlyte will be in next week but i havent heard from him so i hope everything is OK :)
PPPS there is some bloody nice SKINS (http://www.rfactorcentral.com/skins.cfm?ID=Historic%20GT%20%26%20Touring%20Cars) at Rfactorcentral starting to get around now aswell

Hey folks. Sorry for not being around lately but I have just had some issues creep up on me IRL. As a result I probably won't be able to race anytime in the near future. I have let Glen know and I hope there will be someone who would like to put their hand up with giving a hand running the season.
Perhaps once I get things in order again I may be able to but for now I will be wishing you guys well and hope the XGN Historix grows well. Good luck fellas!

I asked my friend Flattop to join the cause in creating and expanding this league and he's excepted :bounce:
Once again thankyou for all your time Acer and hope to see you again on the track in that cortina of yours.
