View Full Version : Problem With new Sata Hardrive

hey guys i am running

amd athlon 3800+ dual core and it is
asrock mother board.

now on the box it says i can run sata and it even has the
sata plugs on the motherboard

now the prob is i have it installed etc.

but on my task bar its showing up in the Safely Remove Hardware icon thingy

any1 know what the prob is or if it is meant to be like this

snakey.... i reccoment posting this at NHN there all tech heads and will give you 1000 thing you can do
also it shouldnt have safely remove hardware.....mine only ever has it when i plug in a external hdd or a fancy mp3

yeah ummm NHN is no longer lmao

and also bird said he has had it b4 and aslong as i dont hit safely remove ill be fine

Hi Snakey,

Check the policy settings for the drive.

Control Panel > System > Device Manager > Drives.....

See attached image. Go to Policies, and check that it is set for optimised performance. Don't know if this is the problem, but worth a look.
