Dizzo took another commanding win in the final race of the F1A Championship for Season 7 on the tricky Interlagos circuit on the weekend. He never looked back from pole position to lead f15active and Zvook home for his 13th victory in another dominant season. He looked set to be challenged closely by JesterF1 and f15active but the two battled each other in the early stages and were involved in an incident towards the first set of pitstops that cost them both time.http://www.f1a-league.com/images/article/s7_rnd17_2.jpg

Jester’s poor luck would continue after being slammed off the circuit by CrystaLM. It would put Jester out of the points but f15’s 2nd place finish was enough to ensure that Jester would remain second in the Driver’s Championship. Zvook drove a consistent 1 stop race to end his season with a satisfying podium finish and move ahead of Vincere and CubanB in the Championship standings.

Schmevan drove a solid race too, rising steadily from 7th on the grid to finish an encouraging season with 4th position in both the race and the Driver’s standings. Brado also stayed out of trouble to claim a good 5th after a long battle with Schmevan in the early stages. Allyc4t was in a good position in the early stages but a nudge from Zvook dropped the Development Series Champion down the order. He fought back to 5th but lost a position to Brado due to an incident on the final corner of the final lap when Rustico drove into his path.

Ahmad continued his own string of strong results despite being spun at the start by Schmevan. He fought back from last to finish a welcome 7th when Danman spun at La Ranca. The Renault driver had been involved in the early race scuffle between Zvook, Chris Fraser and Brado but he dropped off the pace with a few errors but managed to hold on for the final Championship point.

In many ways the race was a fitting end to what has been an exciting and sometimes controversial Championship filled with drama. In a season highlighted by the dramatic improvement of some and the errors of others, it leaves a lot of question marks over what we can expect for the eighth season of the F1A Championship!
