Hey guys i meant to put this up this morning, please read it and follow all our rules as best you can, for some it is there first meet in sim world so good luck :)
General rules/commonsense
1. Be a fast but responsible, corteous, and friendly driver
Try to be friendly and most of all careful on the racetrack & respect others.
Everyone has one car per race only. If you're willing to risk a fellow racer's only car - therfore his/her whole race (along with yours) for one position, you're a reckless, irresponsible driver.
If you don't like the sound of it, please don't race here.
2. The race does not finish at the first corner
What that means, is that there is no use charging in to the first corner and causing an accident. Be mindful of the people in front of you. There is always going to be a queue around the first corner so if you approach a little more slowly you will make up this ground quickly. We're having 20 minute races, don't ruin yours or someone elses in the first 15 seconds. If you're good enough, then 20 mins is more than enough to finish in your deserved position. If you are towards the back you will need to brake well before your normal braking point.
3. Backmarkers don't race front runners
If you are a back marker and you are about to be lapped, move to the side, slow down and let the leader pass. It is easy to know this with TeamSpeak (if you have it). Don't hold up the front runners. Do your best to move over and let the leaders pass. If they approach you while going around a corner that is fine. They will wait until you have made it around the corner before they attempt to pass you. Even so, once you have completed the corner move to the side and let the leaders pass. Even acknowledge this person in TeamSpeak and try to hold the leaders of the race up as little as possible.
4. Before Returning to the Track
Check "vehicle labels" ( default "tab" key), before returning to the track. If you have spun off don't worry. It happens to everyone. However, before you return to the track take a look back down the track and make sure that you are not going to inhibit another racer when returning to the track.
5. Entry on to the track from the pit lane
Once again just check your "vehicle labels" & look back down the track before entering from the pit lane. Make sure that you don't block off another driver.
6. Race Start
No race restarts so start responsibly. You and the others on the grid have that one car only.
At the start of the race watch the car in front of you. If they don't catch the start lights as well as you then you must either slow down or move to the side and pass them. Make sure you don't collide with the driver in front.
7. Passing
If you are following a driver and racing for position don't be too hasty to pass the car. Take a lap or so to work out in which sections of the track you are faster and which parts you are slower. Pass where you feel confident you can pass safely. Also be aware if you are in a lighter car with better brakes, that the car in front of you may have to brake earlier, so if you want to brake at your normal point, do it off the line that the car in front is taking.
8. Following
If you are following a driver but are unable to pass, make sure you take the corner at the speed of the car in front of you. Don't take the corner at a faster speed because you can, knocking that car off the track.
9. Use of headlights
As we're running day races headlights are unnecessary. Please don't use them. The only place for headlights in our races is to signal the driver in front that you're a lap ahead, by switching it on while nearing the overtaking point.
Please don't abuse it, we really don't want to introduce a penalty for everything. We're grown people I'm sure we can keep this thing in mind.
All in all be a courteous driver.
Do not under any circumstances abuse other players! If you do you'll be expelled, simple as this.
Accidents happen, just don't forget: all of us are here to have fun. of racing
