Yep, another awesome nights racing again!
Mini 1310 is much more controllable with 5% power settings, I put coast at 40 I think, Started 2nd on the grid Race 1 and as usual the mini can't get rubber to the tarmac very well at take off, so spun the wheels too much to end up 4th 1st corner, then I had many attempts at passing Jiminee but couldn't get far enough alongside to commit, some awesome racing between Prodgers and Glen up front from the replay.
Race 2 managed early to blast past Jiminee for 2nd but couldn't edge closer to Paul and tyres went off a bit too much at the end. Flattop, looks like You made another good start Race 2, You've definitely mastered that part of it.
Hidden Valley next week, what cars?

Good to see more fun being had. I nearly threw my computer out the door when i first logged into practice and had nothing but lag from the computer itself. So i transfered everything over to my external hard drvie except the game and came back to only have lag from my internet on the second race, but at least i made it there for some points.
So I ended up in the traps twice and a wall once on the first lap to realise i hadnt setup my fuel to last the race and was also dragging a my front left wheel around, so into the pits for 103 seconds to come back out and get 8 laps and 8th :P. It was frustrating, but i think ill get a new laptop to go with my new internet speed next week :D If i'm not working that is

I had a pretty lonely time out in the first race, I had a shocking start losing a spot or two, made them back up after turn one. after that, I watched the first 4 cars pull a sec or so a lap on me till glen came undone on the "get it right or get it WAY wrong" turn one allowing me to slot into 4th with a nice little Gap back to Ash in 5th all the way to the Finish line.
Race 2 I managed a better start, Almost challanged Impervious for a place just after turn 3 till I changed down a gear in sted of up (bangs head on table) only to Lose a place to Glen and 240 seconds latter. Half a lap later I snuck up the inside of 240 on one of the fast right handers. I putted around for the rest bearly missing Scott on the exit of the last left as he re entered. Had a small dice with Jim after he Spun but being the quicker dirver he passed. Still, two 4th Place finishes, pretty happy with that. Might try the joy stick next time and hope the "pre race jitters" don't return

Well I shot myself in the foot for race one. When I saw there were some setups available from the lads, I grabbed a couple, haha, overwrote MY setup and set off in race one with 'different' Jag than the one I practiced in.
My level of concentration (NOT my age) causes some of the race details to be lost, but in the most part I was hanging off 240 once I got sorted a little.
I have the enjoyment of reliving it tonight in the replays.
Sorry for the slow start race one, I have wireless pedals, and being afraid of blowing up the engine with gratuatious excillerating revving, I had to stab the throttle to get some delayed action.
Race 2 was better, off in possi 6, got the starts organised, like a granny, hard throttle, slip the clutch, snap 2nd asas some decent road speed is there and voila!
This was a better race had a mini boot for a bumper badge on a couple of occasions, had some good dices some offs but on the whole found some rythm on occasions had put some good times for me.
240 had a 'loose' on one corner allowing me through and with some attrition.
Thanks to everyone last night,. sorry to hear of some your troubles, it will get better as your equipment upgrades and your settings get organised.
I really, really like the Jag in HistorX, a totally truer package than in GTL. When you look at all the successes the Jags had in real life, the GTL version was a little off the mark.
(Bit worried about overheating with the Jag at Hidden Valley tho *smile*)
My apologies to 240 (I think) for the nudge off the track, I had a nice line on the inside, but the Jag wanted to flick out its backside, I was very pleased you didn't go into the sand.

Race 1 had a good first few laps with prodge swapping posi's here and there but i forgot to push my bias a little more forward, my ass swung around and then i was annoyed, tried to get going a little quicker than i normally do and did another 180 and beached it lol
Race 2 i had work to do and i did it early, moved up to 3rd after jiminee swung around and then tried to slowly take tenths out of imp for 2nd place. That soon come unstuck as yet again i beached it.
I felt this would have been a good chance to impose myself a little on the prodge in the jag but my lack of success at brands continues......
Well done overall it was another great night's racing and i really enjoyed watching the end of race 1 (prodge, jim, imp) but was to tired to watch race 2.

Cars for next race is open, thank god gimme a V8 anyday lol but i have to say i have really enjoyed learning the "other" cars that i wouldnt normally have, the jag is quite a weapon, Bruce is right as the GTL Jag didnt reflect the car that Bob Jane drove and won in.
Results have been updated (http://www.xgn.com.au/forums/showthread.php?t=238) and i see a one Flattop has put himself into second place for the season with Imperious moving into 3rd.

pleased to see "sorry' from me at the same time in teh race chat log.
The race history graph for race 2 was pretty flat, good racing and some 1:52s by me hehe
The one place that always brought me trouble (in fact at Brandshatch everytime every sim) is turn one, over the crest negative camber, just can't get it, puts my out of rythim (if I have it).

No worries flattop, all in good fun. My first time out & had an absolute ball. I'm still trying to sort out set-ups for both car & controls so I hope I do better next time round.
Glen, for the next race it's open, is that for all cars including GT's or just the TC-65 class?
Nick.

HI All
Yes another great night of racing :0
First race was good had a clean race and ended up with a good gap back to 6th and just could narrow the gap to sprinter infront.
In the second race on the second lap I got slowed into turn one (one of the cotinas comming back after a of track run and I think it must have caught Stan Kelly off guard and he hit me in the back and blew my rear tyre then Flattop got caught up in it (he would have had nowhere to go and that was the end of my race:(

Somehow it looks from the list I had contact first?? anyway I think its another race incedent and hopfully my luck with second races can be better for the next round :)

Hi ash, what that means is you both reported contact with each other, even though you might have hit stan first or stan hit you first it will do a seperate report for each car. times of contact are both the same.
