Bathurst legends may have to be postened as myself and bruce have had a mis-understanding, I thought he wanted to run HistorX at bathurst and didnt realise it was Bathurst legends he wanted to run. In short i dont want to run anything next to historx on the server as we have seen things go a bit funny with other mods mixed into Historx install. And if that does happen then my computer will have to upload the whole historx mod again to the server which takes 3 days iirc. Perhaps i may be able to use the PCC07 server for this event. Also there is still a stuttering problem with the holden aswell and some of the new guys will probably install the bathurst legends mod into the same install as historX which causes online mismatches if historX isnt a standalone install....

This game is killing me.... 1:50am
I have just done some laps around Le Mans, i downloaded the link but when i installed the track i only get the option of the 77 or 79 track, no 72!!! Is this correct??
Going to be a lot of broken cars with this one!! 306kph in the Pantera down the straight and through the right hand kink (deep breath) before you hit the Jump WTF!!! need cars with aero :horn: :fear:

Calendar at head of thread, edited, please read, sorry for the confusion.
Cars yet to be decided. Sprint races still apply (to allow for the "Bathurst Carnage").

You will find out very quickly Bruce!
Very addictive track, i have never been around here before in any game, and at 4 min + per lap you will need to get some practice in. The biggest challenge i found was that you get lulled into this sense of speed due to the length of the circuit, there are lots of elevation changes so you never know what is around the next bend or over the next crest, and at 300+ kph it keeps you focused.
I drove the pantera, the Ferrari (GTB??), Porsche, BMW and Capri last night (see why it was 2:00am !)
I started in the Ferrari, the sound was fantastic, i think i must have written off every one i drove, very touchy car, but so rewarding. 294K down the straight. The vette by comparison felt slow and stable, it wasn't slow, just the lazy big block gathered speed quickly without the 9000rpm symphony of the Ferrari, about the same top speed though.
The BMW, Porsche and Capri were all good for 250+ kph so quite a bit down in top speed but turned and responded better (oh... and didn't do aerobatic stunts, not big ones anyway). The BMW probably being the best of the bunch.
The Pantera was STUNNING, i thought it was going to be a DEATH trap, but it wasn't. 306kph down the straight, great brakes great steering, very stable, it will probably be my choice for the race.
I drove all cars with default setups, i only changed final drive ratios to max speed, disconnected any rear sway bars and ran -0.20 degrees of toe in.
Hope this little report gives you some help in car choices. It is such a long track, you will need to spend a lot of time there just to figure out which way it goes... (Us noobs only)

Hey Flattop!
Le Mans - wowzer!!
I might get me sorry a*s* into gear and have a go at this. I do 3.55 in GTR2 (once - crashed everytime I tried to repeat)
Thanks for the intro to this great mod. I am starting to like rFactor a little more, but still find it difficult to get user info from the game itself. Glenns recent Hints thread was fantastic and helped me a lot.
I am nearly broke now, so I think I will have to become a Babyfactory!!
