Had a ball in my first race with you guys. Unfortunately, it didn't last to long, but you get that.

In practice i discovered i had chosen the falcon STUNT car, i think i spent more time on 2 wheels than 4, plus i thew in a few good roll overs as well.

Race 1, qualified in 2nd place with the Falcon:bounce:, got a great start and lead for 2 or 3 laps, Daveo was chasing me down quick, he just got me at the hairpin and we were close coming into the lovely double righthander that you drift through, when i/we tangled with a backmarker who spun across the track in front of us. I made it around to the pits for a quick service, but ended up changing 4 tyres and adding 120ltrs fuel :censored:

Exited the pits to receive a stop/go penalty :ohwell: After serving the stop go, Daveo and myself entertained ourselves near the back of the grid, thinking we were in a drifting contest:biggrin1: The 120ltrs of fuel i had on board was a slight handicap, but it was fun

Race 2 wasn't much better, started at the rear of the grid due to race 1 incident, got squeezed for room into T1 and ran wide. Got back on the track put my head down and tried to make some ground. By about lap 5 i was closing on Glenn, but had brain fade and slammed the car into the armco, so i sat in the pits and rode around with a few of you.

I'm very impressed with the game. The net code was FANTASTIC :) No lag no stuttering when running very close with other cars A+++

I lost my replay so i assume there is a plr type edit to timestamp replays? There is a ton i need to learn about the game, and i need to get my pedals working properly, at the moment the first half of my throttle travel does nothing, then it comes on strong, so it is very hard to modulate whilsy cornering, thats why i was so sideways :whoo: (that's my excuse anyway ..)

Unfortunately i can't make Bathurst as i'll be interstate on Business for the week, but Glenn tells me to look forward to LeMans :fear:

Very pleased you enjoyed yourself. From a fist attempt you seemed to not only enjoyed yourself but put some good laps in, loved "Stunt Sprint" comment.
It is going to be a HOOT with good code and 30+ on the grid (heres hoping).

As to my race, I hadn't used the Alfa before in HistorX, it proved to be a great package, with the setup I used there i good power sliding max top speed by the end of the straight.
I had a coming together with a side ways Alfa, I thought "Like poles, repell"!, but we both punctured a tyre, I "squealed and smoked" into the pits, I think the other Alfa limped on!
First time in the pits, finally found the board but by then i was getting "The works", headed back out (under 40kph), forgot the rest of the race.
Race 2 was more memorable, Ash and I fought it out, I was a little faster, but Ash was more consistent. A couple of mistakes lead to loosing rythem and longer delays.
But it was fun, learning heaps to setting up the cars here, more realistic and the vehicle physics are more to my liking than GTL, I am pleased with my progress.
I am not sure what happened to RodH, but I can understand not waiting int he pits for race two.

How was the impromptu pre-race race!, I can't believe I had a fantastic start, jump to possi 1, held off the sliding Mustang and others for 2 laps!
I almost forgot that others would be in the lobby waiting to get in, I just wanted to lap and lap and lap (well while I was in front anyway) hahaha
I have made the replay file "ReadOnly" to show my grandkids on day.

My first race. Alot of fun, although i got stuck in the sand after 5 laps. very exciting. How do I watch a replay of the race?

When you go in the Controls section, try calibrating the Brake pedal first, then the Throttle. An ISI bug that often happened to me in GTL too.

Was a great nights racing.

Qual: was surpised to be up there, seeing i hadnt played this since Eastern Creek. And my battle with rpo continues in this mod :D

Race 1: Got off to an ok start, but dropped to 3rd. Then got past prodgers, and started to make ground on Rpo. Caught up and finally was on his bumper, then Rod spun off the corner after the hairpin. Then backed it back onto the track. Rpo and I both tried to avoid to it, but i smacked one of them and got a flat front tyre.
Had to pit, then got a stop/go. So serving my stop/go it changed tyres and added fuel during that aswell *weird*
Then decided after that to have a drifting contest while racing with Rpo.

Race2:
Got up to 3rd at the first lap, then had a nice battle with prodgers, till he got by ad stretched his lead.
Then dropped back to Glen for the last few laps. At the end i let him get past just before the line to take the points as i knew he was in the championship.

Was a fun event.
