Just after some info from you guys who have been racing rfactor for a while. Has anyone done a sticky about recommended plr (if rFactor has plr) changes? or the like.

I had trouble configuring my quick chat last night, untill FT helped me out, thanks Bruce. However once i finally found the message screen i could only enter 6 quick chats, although i had mapped 10 buttons !

I am running a 22" monitor @ 1680 x 1050. What field of view settings do you use for cockpit view? Can you store different settings for each car or is it a global change.

The view in the Stang and Falcon was fine last night, but when i took the GT3 Porsche out for a spin, the seating position meant that the steering wheel obscured the dash...

I'm not using FFB at the moment. I have a Hyperstimulator, but i have bought a G25 that i will fit to a new cockpit i intend to make, is the FFB that important, does it add to the experience? My only FFB experience was my old Microsoft Sidewinder wheel, the FFB was crap, i used to drive with it switched off.

Any help or tips would be appreciated....

there is key settings you can use to move your postition in a car.

i cant think of what they are but the are called something like

Adjust seat forward etc.

hope this helps

as to the seat, i have only had to move it forward on a few cars, and have mapped a key to it (forgotten now, would have to look at the setting to use it again) but it is the same listing as the chat mapping, just scroll down the list.
As to the G25 not all buttons are recognised by rFactor (me thinks) the same as my Porsche wheel, Glen mentioned there is an app that will allow mapping of any keys...
Gleeeennnnnnn, could you post the name of this for rpo and I please? (-:
FFB I just upgrade to the medium, this suits me, you may need to experiment or taka it to a higher level bu using Glen's info (on this site)
Plenty to learn, I have to get up to speed on the capture of pics in the replay, normally in GTL and P&G I get some quick easy shots but need to learn rFactor methods.
