looking for a 50's early 60's van, has to be original, unmolested.
if it has been sitting under the carport for 30 years I'm interested (-:
Fibreglass, aly or bondwood ~14-16ft
one example:

The more original the better...

Once we get one, I will make a tow bar for the buick, it would not know it was on the back of it, but I just put the towbar back on the FJ, just hope I won't have to start off on a hill or I will have slip the clutch at 2000rpm+ or spin them up to get going...

Now to get Denise purring about it too :Banane52:
It's looking a little plain on the outside at present, but soon it will have that Kustom look, the inside wont be touched buT the outside is fair game.
First probable change and I haven't even got it home yet! :laser:

Hi Flattop,
That van looks in good nick for it's age, I am helping a mate rebuild a teardrop to go behind his 350 chev powered FJ Ute, can I ask where you got the chequered pattern from (assuming it's a decal).
Cheers

Hi Dave'o, sorry, it is just mspaint art work I did, but I am pretty sure I will be putting the chequered decal on the back and a slash down sides will have a look around for myself and pass on any thing if i find it.
Was your mates FJ ute at Cory Lyn on the weekend? There was a silver chev powered one there.
and if you want info on the teardrop there is a forum that are fanatics (http://vintagecaravans.proboards30.com/index.cgi?action=pm)
And it is in good nick, it still has the orginal tyres (so i am told)!

No Phil didn't take the ute down there, it's a yellow one with Coddington style billet wheels, gave him the link to the teardrops he asked me to thank you. I repainted my boat (Ski Boat) a couple of years ago and used Graphics from a crowd called Awesome Decals (on the net) they have some great stuff , although they are in the USofA and not cheap but a great selection and very easy to deal with.
