Have you changed any firewall settings or computers of late? Or the password you entering maybe wrong. Thats all that has stopped me in the past.

Theres a game/server named TBT (bathurst track) that comes up on my list and is always open and does'nt require a password. I've used it as practice on many occasions.
Anyhow Dave'o, yep same same, I get the time out message over and over after entering the password. It's got me stumped. Dave'o you mentioned you have only been able to get on the track once some days and never worked since. Man thats really odd hey!???
I've set up all my ports re port forwarding for rFactor and still no luck.

would be something at your end, we havent had a problem connecting. No need to adjust your ports if your connecting fine to other historicX servers with bathurst as the track.

as a workaround, how about removing the password for this week at least until the lads can get this resolved, don't want to disappoint.

you will end up with a few guys that arent in Aus that will be lagging very badly.
I dont actually see what the problem is. If they can join other Rfactor servers running historX with Bathurst 1.1 then i dont see why they cant join our server. It has nothing to do with the Password and more to do with the user. I need more info than i cant connect.

I connected last night for a while no problems.
New install went Good, just copied the old Trymedia folder back, no re-activation necessary.
BTW, Can we have the car selections sorted (if not already done), as I couldnt select the 1310 mini.

Another method is to install rfactor again to a diff directory, then before you run the game copie your old PLR folder over to the new install and whamo! then click to start the game. This will work as long as you keep the first install in place.

i was using the old bookmark, friends link for seerver log on. When I use the fresh listing off the main refresh list it works no probs. Not sure if the IP address changed but no matter as it works now this way.

Hey Guys
Dave'o here, just installed everything onto a new computer and all seems OK except that I've been trying to get onto Bathurst and I continually get these messages.
Track geometry mismatch
Bathurst.tdf mismatch
Bathurst_2006.gdb mismatch
Any help much appreciated
Cheers DaveG

Guys, there was an update to Bathurst in the latest (1.2) V8Factor patch, whether or not the server has it or if you have it may be the issue.
Worth checking anyway.

also, when ever we run a track on the server it is always going to be the latest version out unless you are told otherwise. So, when you DL a track make sure you have the latest Version.
