Ok i have noticed a few of the guys that just bought wheels for the first time and may not be aware of some of the upgrades available to them. If you dont have the correct upgrade then driving these cars will be a biatch under brakes. By choosing the correct set (See Below) to what you are using will enable AUTO-BLIP. What autoblip does for those that are un aware is it rev matches the motor with the gears as you are changing down gears, if you dont have this you wil be locking up 90% of the time going into hard braking.

Have a look at below, it's in the upgrade menu (green cirlce) and then in the red circle you can see which option you should be using.

Hi Glen
Thanks for the info, tried to apply it last night but unable to get the H pattern shift working, had been using it as sequential but just didn't seem to want to accept the H pattern, I'm really keen to try H pattern to increase the imersion in the game, will try again tonight

Thanks again Mate

Hi mate, you have to map "the gears" ingame the same as you map the wheel and pedals.

Hi Glen yeah I tried mapping them but didn't accept it, even pressed the Enter to override present setting but nothing, not to worry I'll have another crack Tonight.
My biggest problem (apart from driving ability) is under braking I have to just keep dabbing the pedal any constant pressure and the back snaps around

this is without shifting back and getting compression lock up I've been shifting down on exit of the corner to avoid compounding the brake issue.

Cheers Dave

@ Nuerburg i only really use the brakes for three corners, the first corner, then the right hander that is right on the first sector split and the chicane. When i do use them it is very lightly. Once you lock a wheel your loosing a fair bit of you braking capacity. People that stand on them thinking thats the best way to stop isnt going to work. If i see smoke in my rear mirror straight away i will lighten right up and then re-apply soflty.
If your ass is swinging around alot try and adjust your brake bias 1 or 2 notches forward. IIRC they are running 56 stock where i like 58 a little better.

Anyone have a suggestion regarding my G25 throttle sticking?? I intermittently holds a few percent of throttle when you let it off.
I pulled it apart and dusted it but its still doing it a bit. Its not good in the corners as a result, pushing the nose wide at times.

if it's "spiking" on & off a bit, it's probably a bit dirty, happens after a while & very common to get dirty pots (I'm sure theres some jokes in that lol), not sure that dusting it will do the trick, I assume youre talking about using a can of compressed air or something.

Grab yourself a can of Electrical contact cleaner, you can get it at places like jaycar and even supercheap auto - you can then spray inside the throttle pot, you can try and use the tube without pulling your pedals apart, but to do a good job you need to take the cover off so you can get the clearner in there properly. Every few months mine starts to "spike" and I give it another clean to get it operating smooth again :)
I just drown the sucker in cleaner poking the tube all over, around & in the pot and at the same time move the pedal up & down so the cleaner gets all along the slide and gets "wiped" along. Works a treat and operates smooth as silk afterwards.

Make sure it's completey dry before plugging power back in & testing of course

If thats not it and it's something like a broken tooth on the gear (yep I've seen that happen too lol) so it doesnt come all the way off, your best bet is to "trim" it

Start off by re-mapping your throttle, that may be enough, if not grab a copy of DIView and you can use the calibration feature to trim off the initial part of the throttle :), I can give you some more info on that if you need it, can probably put up a copy of diview if you have trouble finding it
