If some one is using a G25 with good FFB could you send me the settings from you config file please?

My Porsche 911 setup has stopped working, the pedal assembly that is,(put new batteries for the wirless pedal assembly), talk about bad timing.
Any way I have a G25 and I would like to fast track getting the thing set up ready for Wednesdays race...

I Also have a G25 and have done for quiet some time i generally use a low Force feedback setting enough so i can feel it but not enough to rattle teh crappers out of my desk. Allthough in some games i just turn it off coz it anoys me. Race Driver Grid is one of them.
I generally use a rather sensitive settup so iam not spinning my wheel 900 degree's all the time :D ok iam lazy :P

I jumped on last night,
purchased a car (nice dull green)
upgraded steering and pedals (as per Glen's post)
loaded my set up, happy with the FFB
reverted to default set-up
Steering feel changed:
Is the steering so realistic camber and caster changes do make a big difference?
(good to see so many of keen enough to be on practising...)

can upload my settings but every car has different settings. Theres a few things you have to do like turn the FFB in rfactor to low, this gets rid of all the canned or fake effects like engine vibration and what not, then in windows control turn everything down but leave the overall ffb to 100% or less as to what ever you desire. Once you have done that then Leo will give exactly what is happening with the front wheels. you also have to have matching wheel lock ie: in Leo cofig file there is wheel lock value has to match the rfactor wheel lock otherwise it wont work properly. Theres a lot to learn but it is well worth it. Once you learn Leo everything else will feel like chit!

Ok Glen lets see some screen shots please? I've been fiddling with Leos for weeks and still much prefer my sinbin FFB feel. I need help!
A screen shot of your in game FFB setup + your Leos.ini so I can get a feel for what you're on about. That would be great. Thanks

1.067 Front axle distance to body reference point (about half the wheel base) in metres, from .pm file
7.5 Relative strength of FFB effects
6.0 Aligning moment curve shape / feeling of tyre losing grip. Lower numbers are duller, range 1.0 .. 10
0.99 Negative aligning moment parameter for high slip angles, range 0.0 ... 1.0
11.54 Slip angle where aligning moment reverses direction - typically between 8 and 15 degrees

Does anyone have FFB settings for a Momo Racing wheel? My FFB is up the creek. :nanahump:

You can still use the same values as say the G25 but im unsure if momo is + or - for ffb but the rest can still be applied, trial and error really. Main objective is getting rid of the cannd effects.

On my Momo at home, in Profiler I run 105% Strength, the rest at 20%
Ingame I run in rates -40% Wheel Full, gives a nice Realfeal to the wheel on the tracks. I dont run any plugins other than Profiler combined with in game settings. Try it, see how ya feel.:)

I've thrown the settings around and around.
It's my opinion that if your racing or having fun on line you would like the realism of the ffb, so I use reelfeel. I don't know if its the best feel out there, but it dose feel good.
Though you have to say if you want to be a little more competitive, remove ffb to where your wheel dosen't make you over react and hang on to it.
All ffb dose is make you react more than you should hence putting more pressure on your dampeners in the car, and then they are not getting as much of a chance to do what there designed to do, support the car smoothly.
The forces on curbs and slides are not accurate enough to counter the movement correctly. So you over react in turns loosing Speed.
It's hard for me not to use ffb, cause I paid for a g25 so it's goes against my very principle of realizm.
So I still ffb.
Cheers:ohwell:
