Well, DNF from acco and a DQ as I have no idea on how to serve the penalty properly. always ended up in the air with tires being changed even tho I had selected NO CHANGE............:ohwell:

Maybe next week I'll go more than 2 laps.

2 from 2, a nice start to my title defence lol

first race the sea was parted for me as BJ said and from then on i took it pretty easy just watching the clock and checking the gap back to jiminee

Second race myself and bj had a nice little tussle until i made a braking error and through he went. Once he got passed i knew there was no point but in the leadup i was doing low 39's which is a PB. He was really pushing me along.
bj spun out and i couldnt believe it.

I will do the results tomorrow night guys and will also change the server over.

Thanks for the racing tonight it was great.

SprinterBoy if you have been issued a drivethru then thats all you have to do. If you pit-in then rFactor doesnt count that as a drive thru. Its a harsh lesson but trust me we have all been there. Next time just drive thru the pit lane.

Well didn't cover myself in glory in those 2 races!!!

Qualified well, was leading race 1 then had a loose through the chicane! lost a ton of places got going again, overdriving everywhere... Sorry Gwyer, it felt like i overtook you 5 times in race 1. Everytime i would get past, i would make a stupid mistake... The car felt different to practice, is this normal?? Finished race 1 in 6th, but drove like a pratt :censored:

Race 2: Took it very easy into T1, didn't want to touch anyone. Stain came up the inside but looped it a t1, I got a good pace going, but when i tried to overtake (dale or Dave, can't remember who..) i got a great run on them but carried to much speed into t1 and tapped Jiminee... So sorry Jiminee, i tried to quickchat sorry, but hit every other Key, Alzheimer moment.. ended up almost last! i put my head down and tried to be a little neater, ended up almost catching Gwyer for 6th, ended up very close.

So sorry for the ahem erratic driving i'll try and be neater next week:whistle::sorry:

SprinterBoy, the difference between a drivethru and a stop/go is in the icons that show in the top left corner. A drive thru is shown as a red curved arrow and a Stop/go as some lights (I think from memory)
And no problems rpo, didn't inconvenience me in any way, bought a smile to my face actually.

I have to agree with RPO, The car was definitely not the same as in practise, most likely a Lag thing, but the effect was as though I had too much rear brake bias, and I had increased the standard setup 2% towards the rear, so for race 2 I simply just put it back to standard, helped heaps.

Race 1 got off to a good start, and thanks to 3 Guys in front spinning I was 2nd by end of lap 1. Unfortunately due to too many errors, it all went downhill from there, spun it at the end of the pit straight for 3rd, later spun at the same place, back to 4th, then spun at the chicane and was 6th by the end of the race.

Race 2 started 6th, got overtaken by Humper and Stain at the 1st corner, then thanks to a few incidents was up to 5th after a few laps. Chased down Humper for a couple of laps until passing Him down the pit straight, but almost got taken out as He lost control and spun. Later spun myself at my favourite spot, the chicane and lost 4th to Jiminee. Wasn't expecting to get 4th back thanks to Bjsracer having a lose at the last corner, bad luck there.

Thanks to all backmarkers for courtesy shown when passing, unfortunately Rfactor, unlike GTL, doesn't seem to show drivers positions in the tab, which makes it harder to tell if someone is a backmarker or not, and when there are many cars close the bar at the bottom isn't that easy to read.

Congrats to Glen73 on the Wins, looking forward to next week's race.

That was some fun racin. I qualed 12th, got a wicked start past a few cars, came into turn 1 and spun and lost about 4. Then gained a couple 1/2 way round, then spun and lost them, then gained, then spun and lost. I figured out that I still had cold tyres..... FFS, i was a bit pissed at myself for that. I did make contact with a couple of guys that were positioned around me, I was shunted and caused a spin at the shicane, but I wasnt too worried, wasn't making much different to my final placing as we were all a bit eratic at the back, so thats no a formal complaint or anything.
I think i got 12th for that race.

2nd race I raced a bit better, had some consistent times in the middle of the race when no one was around, placed 11th.

I figured out last season that just making it to the end without incident will usually get you an extra place or 2 due to others crashing out, so i desperately tried to keep away from walls, it worked.

Thanks to the front runners for being patient.

Cheers Glen, I'll keep that in mind incase I speed in the pit again. Was extreemly frustrating.

Well my races weren't as exciting as most by the looks of it. Happy with my night, made it through both races, although had a brain fade in race 2 causing a pit stop.
HOW DO YOU GUYS get out of the last turn with so much exit speed?
I was great to see so many on the grid out of the registrations considering how busy most of use are, I'm sure the regular numbers will grow when they get to see the caliber of racing.
Well done everyone...

Flattop, after looking at the results looks like You're the only one that picked the Porsche with the smaller Engine.

Did a pb in qualifying so was happy there, BJS was super fast so had no hope of catching him but second row is ok. The longer qualifying session worked well I thought, makes things less rushed and will really help on the tighter tracks.

Race 1 went really well mostly, I even remembered to select first gear on the start line, unlike the race I did elsewhere on Sunday, lol.
My one mistake was gear change related though, went from 4th to 3rd instead of 5th down the back straight, luckily didn’t spin and gathered it all back up but lost a few spots. Was catching Glen towards the end but he had just enough of a buffer.

Race 2 I got tapped around by rpo at T1, just an accident and no damage done, appreciate the apology. Would have been nice to be in the battle for the lead but still got back to third so a good haul of points all round really.

Well my race's werent to bad my i was extremely happy with my qual time general pace in the race was a bit off but... such as life a couple of human errors on my part forced me to change tyres in both races. Still a good race and i enjoyed it.

and when you didnt respond, thought it must have picked the slower one deliberately.

btw, how do you see all the ingame chat after the event? Is that an option in the replays or something?

1. I'm just slow at picking up on all the other things happening like 'chat' during the 'pressure' of the event.
2. there is a link on the results (http://users.tpg.com.au/adsl6el8/HTML-ExportS2/Nuerburg%20Sprint%20Race1_01102008%20205300/Info.html) for the 'chat'
