Chipper done good with a 4th and a 5th in the sprint races.

I drank too many beers and had a shocker!

Yeah was great fun last night. Those little Abarths are great fun to drive & being so small you can go side by side in the strangest places.

I had some good battles after spinning a couple of times in race 1. Ended 3rd.

Again spun in race 2 but caught up & worked my way through for 2nd.

Race 3 had a great battle with Crash for over half the race. I think he was trying to blow my engine though as he was pushing me down the straight and as I used a short gear ratio I was on the limiter form the start line. Then the extra speed & a tighter line put me of into T1 catching the curb & rolling it. Didn't loose to much time & then Crash slowed to continue the battle. We went side by side through the fast hump then left hander which was interesting.

He then went off so I slowed to allow him to catch. Then he went off again & I didn't notice so when I slowed with a few laps to go it was Kooter that went pass lol. Got back pass him on the 2nd last lap and took the win.

Well certainly a mixed night for me, I thought 1:40s may have had me in the mix, but then found myself in down the back of the field an unable to improve other than margainally. Had some good racing, pulling in some places with others' miss-fortunes, but then slipping back with an off here and there.
Looked at the numbers and threw off my cardi and sided with the under-represented, but alas no real help guys. :(

Race 2 or 3 had a double draft hurtling me into turn one after I squeezed inbetween the pit wall and one of the other cars, and held my nerve and picked up 2 places, certainly a high light for me last night, will bath in the self-glory of that this evening if I get a chance :)

Overall a good fun night's racing, thanks to all...
(will post those pics this evening I hope)

You surprised me Cal, I noted that you were 6.xx seconds in front of me lap after lap, I thought your car had some damage, but you say you may have self-inflicted the damage :) Sounds like you had fun night watching Chipper at least...

Didn't even get to make the race. The server wouldn't let me on it. My internet was too slow being capped I kept getting timed out errors. Ahh well. Hope you all had fun last night.

I had a great night, there was some good close racing, that's for sure :)

I was surprised at the agility of the Abarth, it was far quicker and more chuckable than I gave it credit for.

Ditto!

The abarth is quite probably the pick of the all the cars in the historic mod for good fun & close racing..

I accidently gave Wally a tap in the final corners in I think race2 (Sorry Wally lol) and although he had to catch a bit of a slide it didn't spin him.. whereas many other cars and mods are much less forgiving with similar contact - that certainly helps with close racing as well :), and yeah it's faster than it looks.

you drove well Wed night Chipper, I remember coming across Cal's car in race 2 and thinking "I wonder if this is Cal or Chipper" - Cal's a seasoned racer and I couldn't really tell which one of you it was which is a credit to you :thumb:

I think its now time for chipper to get a new rig, plonk it beside cal, and then they can both race at the same time...

Make sure they are more than an elbows length apart though! :)

Being able to go 3 or 4 wide into corners always makes for great racing. Small cars rule. Aussie racers or go-kart racing would be a lot fun.

I had one of those fantastic moments last week in the arbath, drafting 2 others and slipping round the outside of both, what a hoot, made up for all other mistakes :)

Yeah put a smile on my dial Flattop, saw you coming up the outside like a steamtrain, held off my turn-in to T1 till last possible second sort of hoping you would have to back-off and slip in behind. But no it was me who did not make the turn and ran off and you got round. Well done nice finish.

And yead nice cars to race, Legends would be fun !!!

Thanks Pat, now I remember I had been following your trailing brake smoke for some laps with a buffer car in between and just got close enough to be part of the locomotive on that lap, sorry you went off, can't remember if I noticed, holding on tight at the time, hope there was no touchy touchy on my part.

The last 2 laps and the now famous (At least in my Lunchtime), double draft :bananapartyhat:

I had tried out the non solid tyre barrier earlier, fortunately:
