Well i will post more tomorrow night, Very dissapointed with one of the backmarkers that pretty much ended a great battle for 2nd 3rd and 4th. Instead i got a DNF grr

I would like this reviewed by the stewards

I was hit from behind, which caused the initial spin of Glen, we re-dressed then a back marker just took us all out!!

we were having a awesome battle too..:ohwell:

Bad luck Glen

Maybe we need to make sure back markers know what to do when being lapped.

A lot of new faces, i had a couple of worrying moments as well, but most of the guys were great, i was flashing my lights though :laser:

I'll post up my report later, except to say.....

1 very happy RPO here :bananapartyhat:

Still a bit angry but its for fun not anger lol

Well done RPO i knew you had the goods if you could keep it straight. 2 from 2 good stuff

Penalty has been issued, if your new mate you must not have read the rules so a penalty applies (http://www.xgn.com.au/forums/showthread.php?t=537).

We were all rookies once.
Sorry too, to Imperious in the 2nd race, got a bit loose coming out of the 2nd corner and he got caught up in it.
Not sure if I should redress in that situation, it wasnt like a hit from behind,I got a little loose next to him and as it straightened up, we hit side to side, bumping him off, maybe an admin could give a direction on that.
Anyway, great nights racing again, these are the highlight of my weeks racing, and the fields are getting bigger.

Please tell that it wasn't me, I moved over every time I was being lapped...

I had a shocker of a race on both counts, Car wouldn't start, then I almost jumped the start, then ass ended as I was on the brake trying not to move and everybody was going. ended up 19th by the first corner. Came up on some traffic, then got taken out at the cork screw thingy, Damaged the car to much, limped to the pits. Fixed the car then spent the rest of the race picking up spots and people spun out and dropped out.

Second race was much the same, poor start but not as bad as the first. then I ran wide on a few corners trying to figure out why my car was so slow and werid. Put it into the wall on the left-right over hill bit. Damaged again, pit again. then I figured out I hadn't loaded my setup as we all got booted and re-joined.... lesson learnt...

Besides the mass carnage the racing seemed ok, once I got into a groove I was trying to hunt down whom ever was in front. But I think we all need to take it easy first corner, putting people into walls in not fun for the recipients

slow it down, we have plenty of laps to catch them or make a gap.

My first race back in this league.

Missed qualiy was waiting for a storm to pass and ended up coming in
at start of warm-up. Wasnt worried.

Race 1 - think i started from 22nd. Made up a few spots off the start.
had a few good battles. One ended badly where Vahir (i think it is) hit
my rear end and didnt redress. Ended Up finishing 9th was very happy also
did a pb of 1.44.3.

Race 2 - Started 9th. GWYAR must have spun or something cause he came
up to me and was for position was very shocked lol. So even tho it was for
position i let him go cause he was way faster then me and i didnt want any
accidents or whatever (was gonna get pass me anyways). Ended up finishing
7th :D

thx for race guys i have missed racing in this league and no better way
to come back and get 2 top 10 finishes :D

Ok, first corner of first race, I took Sprinterboy out by understeering into the rear end, I lost concentration and dint brake early enough, was my fault. Then, same lap at the corkscrew, i tried to pass Sprinterboy as he was a little off line (only a tiny bit) and I thought he saw me coming, however, he did not and i tapped his rear right quater panel spinning him in to the wall and ending that race for him, so do what ya gotta do. Sorry again Justin.

Well anyway, I had a really bad first race, but somehow managed to stay mostly straight for the race.

Second race, i got into the middle of the pack pretty quick and with no one around, i managed to post some consistant times, Imp slowly caught me, then right on the last lap, in 10th, final corner, i spin out and luke in 11th comes flying past. Not wanting to risk any more psoitions, i throw her in reverse and reverse over the finish line :P

I hope i didnt cause any other problems, if so speak up please, i dont like doing it.

Still had fun tho and sorry to hear about the guys at the front, if it wasn't me, i think i know who it was.

What actually happened was somehow the volume on my headphones got turned down and I couldnt hear my engine, so it sat in 1st for ages screaming its guts out, till I realised what was happening and changed up.Doh.and I wasnt way faster than you, you were doing alright

Quali: suprised with my position (7th I think) first race back in quite a few months and was comfortable with my one-lap pace.

Race 1: Got a good get away off the line (luckily I had started my engine just in time!) battling in the top 5 for a lap or so until I tapped Glen and spun as I was unweighted. Recovered and struggled to settle in. I had a poor moment in turn two as I understeered right into flattop. As it was happening I thought we might bump a bit but it flipped him like an openwheeler. I didn't redress as I thought I horribly ended his race. A few corners later, rattled and riddled with simracers guilt I spun and flattop was still racing. Sorry again. Any penalty if deemed appropriate will be accepted. Raced on, but very scrappy hit a tyre bundle and bent the front end. Pitted, lost a lap but circulated to finish 15th.

Race 2 was heaps better. Got a bit greedy into turn 2 early on. A big slow slide which got me hit, then flipped onto my drivers door, slid for a bit, then hit again and back on all four wheels. Raced hard to catch up the group I was fighting only to have a moment into the downhill double-apex left hander. 3 into one doesn't go!

Recovered again, got tagged after a clean passing move, regathered and chased again. Finishing 8th. Thrills and spills a plenty. All good fun though.

I am happy to be racing again, but clearly my race craft is more than a bit rusty. Thanks to all who participated tonight. And apologies for any trangressions.:fear:

Yep I was a little peeved at the time, I was in a groove (for once :plane: hehe) , got a tap, flipped, checked the screen, no "sorry", look around when my little machine righted, no one in sight, grrr :censored: , I don't think I could have won :bounce:. But I sure was pleased to cruise through on the inside not that much further in the race.
I now understand, you mentioned that you didn't have the button mapped, and getting back into some things, like this league racing, so much to do and some things have a less priority, but pleased you mapped them for race two and looks like you didn't need them. As I said in the 'chat', no problems all explained.
Race one, great fun being in a long train of cars, used 3/4 loud pedal in the early part of lap one and it paid off, picking up some places and generally having a HOOT!
A have lost a lot of the names, bit ending race one, I sure it was Luke, punctured with half a lap to go, I could smell blood, but he drove the thing like a demon and balanced with my caution not to do anything stupid, I was not able to pick up a spot until the last 100 yards, felt a little mean, but not enough to back off. :bananapartyhat:
Race 2 only only remember the bad bit, lapping well I thought: "Glad I havn't hit the tyres on the fast chicane...." BANG tore the offside front corner off my car, pressed what I thought was my "Pit in" message, (wrong! that was in P&G! button), limped back to the pits, took 30 secs + to get pitted, 200+ sec repair, switched on ignition, (now your asking why switch off? I was smokin' man, it was about to blow with forward/back attempting to get the pit box),
press what I thought was the 'start button', only to find that was the "pit in button", tore off my helmet, smashed it into the dash, slammed the door and abused the hopeless old mechanic, felt better after that! (all tongue in cheek)

ps my wife arrived home during the break, I arrived back in time to get on the grid, thought is handling different, realised I had the long gears and hence default, I think my times were about 3 secs slower.
Just remembered there were a few races around me that I don't normally see, I must have had a few surprise laps.

hmm GT40 @ Monza, I'm really liking the Elan )-::plane:

oh finally a REAL car :upskirt: these last 2 rounds have been very painfull, just never caught onto the elan, but in saying that i really enjoyed most of race 2 last night. Speaking of the GT i better get the servers updated and the results done :) I sneak home from work to do this :) Also lads dont forget the mini challenge will be live tonight, fixed setup from a standing start :) and a screenshot of your time is all thats needed for but keep that to yourself as the times get revealed at a leter date. Also keep it honest with the track cutting. Always 2 wheels should remain on the blackstuff.

well my first race was alright, think i was around nineth at about the 3rd lap till i made an error on hair pin bout 3rd corner or so, then was put back into 14th ish, slowly fought back and got 10th.

2nd race was not happy with really, after starting the car feels really different then i realise my gear ratio is completely off and find out i was surposed 2 reload my setup, grrrrr, anyways kept going bout the 2nd lap or so still not used 2 the new ratio, through the first chicane mess up the gears and som1 went straight into the back of me sending me into a bit of a spin, and as it was the early stages of the race, every1 was really close 2gether so that put me into last with a default setup, at this point i wasnt feeling 2 good lol but slowly over time got my way back up 2 11th, on the 3rd last corner or so im trying 2 catch sco_aus, didnt think it was possible as he had 10sec on me, whilst checking how far ahead of me he was i spun out on the last chicane, but as i was recovering i noticed he was only 4seconds ahead, not sure y and was sorta spewing that i messed that corner up cause i thought i may hav been able 2 score 10th, alwel i thought, last corner now way is ther a chance, then right b4 the line sco_aus lost it, and 10th was mine, not quite the way i wouldv wanted 2 get 10th but i spose anything will do lol

rookie cups mine sco_aus :p ahahahaa lol na bad luck on that mate, look 4ward 2 battling a little with u nxt week :bananalama:

btw gratz rpro on the double mate

I wont say to much about my race because simply a 10 year old could of done a better job than me last night.... oh yea... whom was it spun on the 1st or 2nd lap in race to just after the straight and tried to do a u-turn infront of traffic.... didnt cause any trouble but hell i thought it was funny as.

Well done to the winners and 2nd , 3rd place runners.
now lets put this round behind us and move on to MONZA!!!!!

Italian is a rich language for deriding people.

Stronzo is a rather large turd.

"cagato per forza" literally translates that it was shat by force which is meant to reinforce how large a turd it actually was. So I am saying he is a rather large turd.

In Italian a Stronzo can be compared to a d**khead or even a**sehole in its vernacular use.

consider this a lesson in cultural enrichment
:hat:

oh and I think I spelt 'cagato' wrong which is why it won't translate on google, one 't' not two :P

My race sucked too, I think I'll spend some serious time setting up my G25 properly, as My car was too twitchy under brakes, especially whilst downshifting.

Both races had some major spins, so 8th and 9th respectively were all I deserved.
Highlight was my start in race 2, jumping from 8th to 5th , unfortunately very short lived.

We actually raced there in GTL once, but the GTL track looks so much different, It took about 4 laps before I recognised it.

See You all next week at monza, a track with no dips, off camber corners, and other nasties to ruin Your race.
