Sorry to start this thread off on a bad note, but was the Bloody hell was going on with Dino!
According to my replay He didn't even start the race, then all of a sudden lap 3 I think magically appears on the Grid, unfortunately not enough time to avoid, especially as I was looking at dials or something and not expecting anything like a stationary car to appear from nowhere.
Initially I thought He was re-entering after an accident, but not so.
Then later after escaping to the pits, He is amazingly back in the race again, doesn't make any sense at all. as when I escaped that was it.
Anyway at least the entertainment was good, almost everyone looked like Drunk drivers, I can't believe these things are that unstable in real life.
I never realised You could fast forward and rewind the race whilst viewing it live, same as timeshifting on a Pvr.
Congratulations to all finishers.
Hopefully better luck next week, see You all then.

Yeah i'm not sure what was happening with Dino either. Must have been about lap 4 or 5 and i had a 5.4 second lead and just before i crossed the start line this Red GT40 randomly appears in front of me - didn't even have time to re-act, it scared the crap outta me lol. Damage wise i had red front and red front right (which generally means that i lost front wheel but it was still there).
The car handled like crap from then on. I pitted about lap 9 and stop had an extra 16 secs for damage. The car was still not fast after that but i was consistant enough to finish 2nd which i was still happy with. I couldn't work out why the car was 2 seconds off and so slow down the straight... then i saw my car after the race and the front bumper was just about wedged into the windscreen lol.
I'll be around again next week - had fun tonight, those last few laps when the tires had worn right down was heaps of fun. :)

Well was that hard work! Mainly caused by myself, I forgot to purchase the upgrades for my car, what an idiot!
It tested my concentration heading out for one longer race, and it was this that caused my couple of bingles.
Fortunately got the pit working and made sure I was weil under the pit speed limit after hurtling around @200ks. Certainly a good lead up to the "Big Bangers" next week, liked the track, certainly better than the GTL version with rhythmic double esses.
Fortunately didn't know about "the DIno" incident other than the comments.
Hope I'm still 13th!

That was a great race.
With only 5 laps of qualifying I was pretty confident of my pace, sitting in 3rd with a 1:54.096.
Thanks to Glen for the heads regard fuel, however it would have become very obvious eventually after doing half distance, but knowing prior is always a handy thing. I think the start was going to be my weakest aspect of this round, and as a result of limited practice starts, I dropped 2-3 places, Great start again Stain :)
I was determined to finish, yet had to push early as Paul had got a great start also. So set about settling in to the rhythm of the car and putting pressure on rpo83, stain, humper in front to get a clear run and see if I could match Paul for the race. Unfortunately Dino's appearing mysteriously on track at a very inopportune time for paul put paid to that. Leaving Stain in the lead and me on his tail.
I found I had a good speed advantage into T1 esses at variante Goodyear, just steering it through there under late braking, which helped me get a good stable run out of there into curva Grande and also when exiting seconda variante. Sadly, Stain got on the gas early and looped it, bummer :( , I was looking forward to a good dice for a few laps bro :)
From there it was only a matter of maintaining pace, avoiding lapped cars, and not speeding in pits.
A special thanks to all the backmarkers, sorry I could not say anything, as I don’t have chat setup on my wheel and the keyboard is too far away to risk one handed driving in these cars..:)
PS: And I find its probably more distracting if you go way offline to let me pass than if you kept racing....just not racing the lapping car of course.
I held off on the CPS until lap17/18 to keep it light for the run home. Dropped one position while in pits as rpo flew buy, but gathered it back a lap or 2 later as he made his CPS.
All in all a great race, great result and thanks to all drivers :)
WD to 2nd and 3rd........

Well there was a lot less carnage than i expected for that race.
My game plan for this race was to simply stay alive until about 8-10 laps to go, as these cars were so treacherous to drive i simply wanted to stay on the track and finish the race.
Fairly clean race for me, a couple of off's trying to round humper up, then Stain gave me a heart attack on lap 21 missing his braking marker at turn 1, i had just lapped him and had an eye on my rear vision mirror when i saw a puff of smoke from his locked front end :fear: i kept the car straight and drove across the gravel trap as i didn't know where he ended up my eye's looked like this in the mirror  but all ended well no touches and we kept going.
Must practice pit stops, i had finished my tyre change and sat there waiting for the "GO" signal from my crew chief...... Didn't happen, his contract is terminated.
I also panicked about fuel consumption, so i set my strategy to 30 litres on 1st stop. As the race wore on, i knew i didn't need it, so iwas busy trying to drive and adjust my pit options, set fuel to 0, but during stop i got the message can't take fuel out of vehicle (Thank god for that) So i take it that in the garage screen you set up how many litres to Add???, but in the LCD HUD it is how many litres to leave the pit box with... :noidea:
Anyway well done all, cya's next round.

In your plr find this line and change to 1
Relative Fuel Strategy="1" // Show how much fuel to ADD, rather than how much TOTAL fuel to fill the tank up to
and apologies to Glen, for bumping him off at the end of the back straight. Looked down at my hud for something, looked back up to see the AGIP sign that someone suggested to use as a brake marker, only to realise too late it was the 2nd AGIP sign I was looking at.Apart from that was surprised to see I could actually keep the thing on the island for 23 laps.
Was watching some of the front runners and God knows how you manage to brake so late in that thing, there was no way I could stop it properly or consistently.Used Imps suggestion of 72% braking power and that helped but still uncomfotable.
