Well when I didn't do anything stupid, ie, hit a wall, this was a great combination, almost made for each other, the speed was not so fast as to have me panicking with corners continually rushing up at me, and with GYWARs set up I thought I would have at least finished.
But alas, these street curcuits certainly make me suffer, and others too by the number of flat tyre marks, smoking cars are anything to go by.
I have not had a look at the reply, but at the start I hit the go, a little late, but found myself up the back of someone, couldn't brake and/or swerve in time, notices some "action", waited for all to move off in front of me, not knowing whether I was responsible.
It all happened so quickly, sorry if it was me.
I then noted a "NOOOOOOOOOOO" from Snakeyes and watched as some didn't get in lap one. )-;
Well I have pitting perfected, having done it 3 times last night for tyers and damage, fragile little things, but each time my fault, the worst hitting the ripple strip on the kink in the back straight an another in the chicane, got too cokcy on both occasions.
Over all, good, would like to have another crack it...

Yeah thanks for the fun race guys, good car & track combo. I'd never done a longer race at 100% damage before so was being pretty careful. I had no damage at all till 3 laps to go, so decided to push it harder........straight into the wall lol. I sustained a flat tyre and drove on that for the last 3 laps, losing 50secs to a fast chasing GWYAR. I only just held you off for 3rd place lol. Thanks again. I'll be able to race every second Wednesday for the rest of the year, but definitely keen to race each round for the new proposed AUS/NZ series next year!

Good to see enjoying the racing. Your more than welcome to compete on the nights that you can (correct me if I am wrong Glen), I know you will keep in mind the regulars who are vying for points. Season 3 looking like a great event.
I had noticed you and I think early on in the race I had contact with you but did not drive as consistency! I also noticed that you had the flat tyre close to the end but doggedly "ploughed on", I went in and pitted for tyres and damage and exited the pits on the "Chequered flag" haha

Yea it was fun..... well until i ran wide just after the hairpin off the straight belted a wall car died then would not fire up again. Adelaide is an awesome track but NEVER NEVER get cocky or complacent because it will give you a stiff boot up the arse :(
But i love tracks like this it rewards skill and good judgement and kicks you in the balls if you do something dumb or silly.

That was an awesome track and car combo. Had the time of my life out there.
It took me 5 or 6 goes at doing a lap but once i got going i was fine.
Well done to all finishers.
I miss out on next week with my V8 Schedule going back to normal until the start of december i beleive so i will probably be around every second week to do some laps. :)

I too had a great race last night, I always get podiums when it doesn't matter. hmmm.
Anyway, My nice new (6 weeks max) 1 Terabyte Samsung HDD Shat itself today , and now reads as a 137 gig, so I have lost both my Rfactor installs, as well as all other game installs, the only thing I salvaged was the Trymedia folder.:)
Fortunately I had a recent Ghost image of my C Partition, so all is not lost.
Hopefully up and running by Wed next week again, hopefully the replacement hdd doesn't stuff up too.
Hopefully also my new Rfactor Historx install lets me pick all the shifter options, As I was getting a HDV error.
See You all soon.

Well that race might come under the category of "wont try that again"
Was sitting comfortably in 2nd, watching Prodgers sail away in the distance and Imp 10 secs back and steady. Was getting a bit boring and it was a fun night so thought I,d let Imp catch up and and have a good dice with him to
make it more interesting. But despite the fact that I had been maintaining a steady gap to Imp,once I let him past, he kept going, and in an effort to try and keep up I lost it, getting damage and spending 77 secs in the pits fixing it
:censored: Nearly caught yokelhama at the end, and thought I had another lap,but forgot that I had been lapped.
btw, I thought the Escorts felt different around this track than others I'd tried, seemed much more loose than I remembered.

I have a suspicion that each track has different track grip levels, im still trying to find the value that tells me so we can get rid of the silly slippery tracks.
