After 10 months of Vista i finally booted it off my laptop. The laptop now runs like a Demon. Seriously Vista has no place on a laptop, it made it sluggish, constant mini freezes and just down right annoying turning 1 minute simple tasks into 10 minutes of fustration. yipeeeeeeeeeeeee :Banane31: i no longer have to say how much i hate vista.

I concur, ( nice word "concur" even if I do say)

Had a ASUS and removed the sluggish Vista for XP, Also found all the drivers no problems, though did have to reinstall Asus hardware excelorator .
Massive smoother result, even with 2gig of ram.

If You want a really fast alternate OS running in a separate HDD or partition, You can't go past Ubuntu Linux, looks as good as Vista without the Slug factor.

In fact. If I didn't play games and only used the PC for Internet, Email, and Wordprocessing, as many do, that is exactly what I would do, it's completely free as well.

I ran Vista on my PC for a while, but considering Even Dx10 doesn't offer any real useful enhancements over Dx9, there is no point with it at all. You shouldn't ever need more than 2gb with XP, mine runs incredibly fast after tweaking it.

I tweaked Vista, but it still sucks no matter what You do with it.

My favourite was having Vista run half normal, then a "windows security update" would come out and vista would run worse. I still say it is a flashed up version of XP but just miles behind in performance. Thats my opinion with it running on a Asus F3SC with 3 gig of ram.
