The new maps are fantastic and the PC players were the first to unlock the NEW map called Operation Hastings.

I have it of course!!!! Fantastic expansion. I am actuallly enjoying this more than Black Ops.

Maps are big and the gameplay is awesome!!! Huey choppers, patrol boats tanks etc. and a kickass soundtrack as well.

Lets get some more members in playing this game as it seems to be only myself, Bishy and BJ at the moment.

Got it and have been on the steep learing curve. I must be playing at different times as the server is always empty when I get some time to jump on.

there's no D/L for it; it's included, you only need to unlock.
And it's pretty good IMHO. The destruction, the sounds...I love it. Oh and the music! ;)

But...the pings aren't working, sadly. That's a bummer.

Myself and Bishy have had no problems at all with pings in servers...????

Game runs a S%&t load better than black ops....

Same results here, good pings on the Oceania servers.

no, no, the pings are good in local servers, it's that they don't show up on the list view. Any servers in the server list are either no ping, or 999.

So, when we're getting together? I'm sick of codbo, got enough of it, enough to last through at least codbo2 and 3... :D

oops, just read the other thread, so you don't want tue/wed. Ok, thrusday is shopping night for most, but I don't mind that either, or weekends are good too, altho lots of us may go out, or come in drunk :lol:

Tuesday is practise for the Wednesday night league race. I will still jump whenever just thought it may work better/be more fun if we jump ontogether, or maybe not? Im still waiting on some materials for work so I plan to go up a rank or 2 tomorrow.

I haven't had a look in the last few days, but does our Server (=UGN= XGN Vietnam) have all the maps (inc Operation Hastings) running on it in (Hardcore) RUSH????

This seems to be the most popular form of the game running atm.....

Can an ADMIN for BC2 please have a look and make sure the server is set to this???

and finally, can we also have quicker respawns (5 seconds max) and the server name change slightly to =UGN= XGN Vietnam HC

Bishy no need to add hardcore to the title as the HC icon is clearly marked on all HC servers, i will be having a play with procon today cos to be honest Guardian sucks as far as the Vietnam addon is concerned will have more news later today.

this is now fixed and i have hosted the rcon tool on a dedicated server as well...

happy to set anyone up with procon so they can handle unwanted players and map changes etc...

First of many questions:
1. I have a plain 101 keyboard and a microsoft wheel mouse, what should I be using? (I realise I will not be as good as the 11 year olds, but I am sure these two items are contributing to my poor stats along with my lack of ability/speed)

i could cope with any keyboard but a decent mouse is a must...

I have the G5v2 (2 x thumb buttons) this allows me to have all sorts happening on the mouse such as.

Sprint (Top thumb button)
Knife Attack (Bottom thumb button)
Reload (Scroll lean right)
Throw Granade (Scroll lean left)
Throw other nade (+ button (Below scroll))

this makes for a very fluent game with little effort needed to use all your kit....

thanks Brit, the speed at which I can change kit and maneuver is slow, but was adequate in the older FPS, will manage up and have my wife suggest I get one of these to increase my relaxation potential :)

I have been on servers where "Punkbuster" is enabled, I haven't installed it (knowingly) and have not been kicked.
Maybe they just know you! :)

Have to agree, A G15 KB is very good for racing as well, as you can get the plugin and it tells you who is talking in vent............The mouse is only as good as the hand moving it, I have a G5 and I still suck LOL

have you reconfigured your mouse Glen? reassign buttons to keystrokes and match them to things needed ingame

4 - Keystroke - Shift+ (sprint)
5 - Keystroke - v (knife)
6 - Keystroke - g (grenade)
7 - Keystroke - r (reload)
