It is back to WW2, excellent game play. I only play single player, not good enough for online, great missions, new weapons.

It is a massive install, takes abour 15-20 minutes just to install!! It doesn't create any start menu or desktop shortcuts either!!

I am having slight issues getting it to run, it crashes, then starts in safe mode. Once i reset the graphics it's OK.!

I have just seen a patch has already been released, the game was released 11th Nov, first patch 11th Nov WTF!!! 300 meg download.....

Oh it's on special from JB, i bought it last night from Nunawading $79...

Yeah I have it. It is pretty good but also frustrating at the same time. Have not played mp though. I much prefer the WW2 setting for fps games, looking forward to giving COD5 a go

Iam allready a fearless co - leader :P not to mention the clan i co lead is also got 3rd place in GSA Cod 4 ladder and 2 time XGN Fear Champions :D so yea iam kinda hardend when it comes to FPS. :D

But hey a multiplayer night would be cool, time for me to get some retribution on a couple of people :P muwahahaha

well i have installed and patched without playing first, but I am getting a white screen for cut scenes with audio, then in game it is black with audio............i have dual 98000GTX's, so i think i have enough gpu hp to run it, so am updating all the system drivers........ah the joys .....hopefully tonight i will get a shot off in anger/joy

Check your root install directory. There should be a file called "Localisation" it listed my game issues.

What is the game play like? Is it a single person shooter?
I must admit my other obsession is DayOfDefeat, which still holds me unlike a short run with Counterstrike.
I admit the graphics you showed are fantastic, is the realism on par with the graphics?
One last question, do they have online games where you can just jump in, or is it all team based, long winded games/clans?
May have to get it if BJRacer takes it on, man your the only acquaintance I ever found on DoD!

Hi Bruce,

COD is a first person shooter. You can paly it single player, multi player or a new co operative mode wher i think upto 4 players play as a team against the AI ( i might be wrong about this as i dont play online)

The game play is fantastic, it is very immersive like rFactor :bananapartyhat:

You can just jump online and have a blast, but typically i get my ass fragged in about 30 seconds!

I got it today and jumped straight into mp pretty much and I am a pretty easy target. I probly get 3 kills to every 10 deaths so I need lots of praccy

Yeah I remember that race at Imola. I was about 14 watching the race live. I was devostated, I still have photos and posters of him up in my garage.

Some ppl say he knew he was gonna crash and die that day. Like before the race
he was acting differently and that. and on one of the tributes on youtube just after
his car stopped after hitting the wall he moved his head..some ppl say he was saying
goodbye and some say it was muscle spazzims doing it. What do you think?

I remember the head movement and I thought that was the end because he never moved after that. I think it was muscle like you said

As for that whole race it was just a very bad weekend starting with Rubens bad accident and Roland Ratzenberger fatal crash as well and if I remember the start had a tyre go off into the crowd as well. Just terrible

well ok these are more recon missions but the good thing is you can "recon" anytime you like and then report back to the forums of your findings. Its the vietNam mod i think. "CONTACT"
