Some of you may have heard TV Style Display being talked about at the end of Eastern Creek. It got raised because I couldnt see the start/finish lights.
So I went of and downloaded/installed it and thought I might share its benefits.
Basically what it does is add additional / replacement information on the screen.
You will see in the attached pic that it includes session time (countdown), sector and lap times plus the difference to your best, replacement gauges with gear selector, brake, accelerator, leaderboard plus times, top speed and importantly a built in set of start/finish lights so you wont miss that important start.
Its all done to look like you see on the F1 television coverage and you can hide what you dont want of the Rfactor gauges etc.
The timing information just comes up as it happens, its not all there permanently.

Here is the link to the plugin: http://www.rfactorcentral.com/detail.cfm?ID=TV%20Style%20Display

Something to play with.....

Thanks Freezer. I was meaning to post that up as I mentioned it on vent.

I've been using this for years now & it's great especially when you can't see the lights. It has it's own set of lights that come up on the top left of screen. The lights are delayed by a fraction of a second but it's better than missing them all together.

In the config file you can also change what you see & how you see it.

The other benifit & one of the main reasons I use it is it shows you an extremely accurate fuel figure. Gives you litres & how many laps left to one decimal place.

Also in practice & qualifying it shows you timing at each split & if you are up or down & by how much.

nice!
can you configure the position of elements, easily?
where do these stuff come up on tripple screen setups?

IIRC I think its fairly easy to position them. It asks for a x & y axis value. I haven't played around with that much but I wouldn't think it would be too hard.

No idea about triple screen.

Looks good but not sure if its a good idea. Reckon 75% of my off's are caused by being distracted by the existing hud, now I'll have more things to look at
