No, i'll be good,

Great race everyone, and seriously Glen it was a pity you had problems, i was looking forward to a good battle with you tonight. I thought we may have been dicing 3-4th place having fun.

The race didn't turn out like i expected, my plan was to be quick, BUT keep it on the track and out of trouble, i was hoping for a top5...

If Bodie would have chosed the Healey, i think it may have been a different result, he was the quickest all week in practice.

Well done Jeff, Jiminee and Humps. Jiminee did his usual last lap qualifying performance. But now i know about the radiator, what else have you been keeping from me Glenn :heh:

brake duct sizes can slow you down to, but the trade off is with making your brake and radiator sizes smaller things get hotter and tend to blow or fail. I think i made my brain size to small tonight

So inshort

Large brake ducts 5 make you slow on the straight as your less areo dynamic, small brakes ducts you go faster less aero drag. Same for the radiator.

I think i'm gonna buy a lottery ticket and put 11 all over it, i always get 11th.

Anyways, I was pretty happy, i was consistent like predicted for both races, i had a couple of hairy moments tapping the wall twice coming on to the front straight, but im glad i was drving an MR, no damage... :D I drove as safely as i could especially around other cars so i could at least get points and enjoyed myself, except...

DAVEG!! Dude, im sure they are always accidents, but maybe you need to be a little more carefull. Every time we race, you seem to hit me. I lost 2 places (including yours) after that hit on corner 5, race 2. Its only a game so i dont want to make a proper complaint, but please just try to be a little more considerate. Having sayed that, the rest of the time, im enjoying racing you, will be different again soon with the wingman.

Thanks guys, another fun Wednesday night.

Great fun tonight, i had to rev the dogs danglies off the little renault to get any pace and still could'nt touch Acer's time, and the hairpin was a mistery everytime around hehe, really kept me on my toes, had some great dices with the Healey's great watching them wallowing all over the track, did a days of thunder in the warmup with 5 cars in front all spinning in different directions as we all entered the start finnish straight, i just kept the right foot down and some how missed everyone ha great stuff, i'm really enjoying this good to be back

Apologies to humper in both races. At about the same stage in both races(about lap5) I braked at the same spot as usual at the end of the straight, but each time the rears locked, so I passed him sideways into the hairpin. Didnt hit him but must have scared the **** out of him.Tapped the brake balance forward 1 click and it was all good after that. Rest of the racing with him was good though.

Great stuff again tonight though I was hoping a couple more folks would go the Alpine. Having said that, the Healys were definately the gun car tonight with fast times across the board.

Race one was hectic as, I got a bit of a jump on some folks in front of me at the start but I didn't really want to try and go past knowing I would just be swamped in the first corner. Saw a stack of cars go cross country into the first couple of corners and I was just trying to avoid being a metal sandwich :). My apologies to those trying to get by my slower Renault, I did my best to give room when I could. After that I pretty much just tried to keep the Renault straight all the while waiting for Sprinterboy to pounce. Luckily he never did and I was able to capitalise on a few passing opportunities crossing the line in 5th which I thought was a bit alright.

Race two was a whole other story though, I think a few folks got a bit more of a handle on their Healys and I was getting smoked down the straights. Kept dropping positions to about 7th I think and then I gave up another on the last lap to Bodie. For some reason I thought it would be possible to push Glen out of the beach . Not that it matters much, I was just happy to join in and have a bit of a race with everyone. Congrats to RPO for getting the chequered flag in both races as well as Jeff H, Jiminess (Juminee??) and Humper for grabbing the podium slots.

Even though you take it in your stride Glen it's a bugger to see you luck out tonight. Maybe Snetterton in a Jag will be the answer?? :Banane09:

SCO_AUS Sorry mate, I had no intention of hitting you, It was an accident, I think you should make a formal complaint I'd like the Mods to look at it and rule, if a penalty is to be issued I'm more than happy to accept it, I'll ignore the rest of that post about every time we race, simply because I belive that's a heat of the moment comment that has no substance, so i'll treat it with the contempt it deserves. I certainly don't claim to be in the same leauge as the majority of the drivers in this group, which is why I avoid racing them and instead move over to let them go by infact I struggle to finish races and my main aim is simply to do that Finish the race by staying out of trouble, In future I'll work at keeping my distance from you, then the world will be a better place for all of us.

You got to remember how far you have all come in 1 season, a very long way in my book, I think you all do a good job, sometimes i sit down with a coffee and watch the replays. I remember when some of you just struggled in a straight line. What im saying is still allow for mistakes as there will be plenty more and also no one wants to crash into each other. If you make a genuine mistake and run some one off, just re-address and continue on Every body has to start somewhere and believe me when i say you guys are going OK for your first league i mean it :)

Server i will have to upload snett again, wont be able to do that till tonight,

Well i spose i better write something about the night that wasnt to be, qualied 3rd but then willy changed cars and Jiminee started his usual late run on the field and took pole, that put me in 3rd. Race start was good and set myself up in second, ran wide on that sweeping corner, pushed to hard did a 180, was waiting for traffic to go buy and then blew my motor all in a matter of seconds :)

Race 2 i quickly got out of the game, set the field, got back in, dropped the radiator and brakes to 1 and then started 19th, i had some fun making my way through the field and had some nice battles with Grant, humper and Jeff, i then had RPO in my sights, came through the chicane, went on 2 wheels, went into the sand pit. I knew it was bad i might not get out alive. I saw a alpine pull up and it was Acer to my rescue (thx) but i managed to get out with nearly a blowen motor but i just wanted to finish.

Menatl Note: There shall be no more taunting or psyching out be me. It really backfired in the worst possible way haha

Well done RPO on 2 solid wins and also to the other guys that had podium finishes.

NNoooooooo,

That is the fun part of the races, it is the banter on the forum and the good nature of this place that makes it FUN...

So i for one expect a healthy increase in the amount of taunting and banter :Banane31:

For everyones benefit, take everything i say with a grain of salt, if i'm having a go at you (russ....) it is all in good fun.. If you get a PM then start worrying..

There are enough serious leagues around, let this one be fun. That is not to say the racing is not serious, this is, and with the old XGN the BEST racing i've had, keep up the good work all.

And i 100% agree with Glen, the standard for everyone has increased hugely. We all have moments, that is why we love racing, but every race you learn something, either about yourself or your competition, the more we race together the better we all get :Banane31:

had some great battles, very pleased I took the Alpine, my thoughts were "the healey is faster, but, this is likely to get away from me under pressure", and the Alpine only let go once in both races, but I noted the a few Austins power spinning out of corners and in the hands of some experienced drivers.
the tyres, espesh the nearside rear, was a goner at lap 5, made me pull my head in a little. Race 2 saw more consistent lapping and lower times when I dialled in more neg camber both ends.
So consistency got me through with some fun racing.
It is nice to be one of the improvers, persistence pays off and also everyone doing their bit to allow racers like me improve. cheers.

Still in the top 10, Kowabunga!

Yea, i knew i was going to struggle with this one the track is a peice of piss to drive but once i stepped into the healy i knew i was in for a wild ride :(

Unfortunaltely due to work i was unable to put any solid practice in and it showed in my lap times by the end of the night before i happily nose dived into a wall i put in a 1:10.800. Sorry to all of those i got in the way 2 i tried to stay out of the way but with a blown tire i was stuggling. Hopefully next week i can put more time in on practice and hopefully not so tired. Still this doesnt excuse my driving :P

Gratz to Rpo on his solid wins.

To Glen: AHHAHAHAH HAHAHAHAHA Thats what you get for teasing me about "my hotlaps"
nah seriously bad luck dude.

Spot on, great quality racing in this league, but without the blokes who think they are racing for sheep stations. Wish all leagues I'm in were as good as this.

TOO FUNNY, you sure did scare me. I saw you comin in the mirrors both times and I would have turned in earlier except you where up the inside in a cloud of tire smoke. So I kept holding off till you'd either gone by heading off track or gathered it up before I finally turned in. So happy it didn't end badly for both of us and really enjoyed havin you there pushing the whole time in both races. :-)
