Just ran a few laps, this was my favorite track in P&G, the Falcon's love this track.

The benz was a surprise, slow as, but fun to drive, i managed a 1:37 in the lightweight, foul handling setup, so looks like a little time will be needed to sort it out.

What times you guys doing??

Sprinterboy

1.41 in the fezz so far, still stock with some minor brake pressure changes.

1.38 in the Jag coupe, stock with minor gear change.

Haven't had a good go in the merc, can't keep it on the black stuff as well. feels a little slower down the straights

You and me both, I had the 'ol #455 Kubic machine at Snetterton with you in P&G and really enjoyed it, hence selection for this season.
Wide track, plenty of overtaking (and lapping ) areas and fast, and even better in rFactor land. The bridge is still as hard and causes the same destruction as the P&G version.
The bridge was my demise last time when the 'tangs tyres went, but it was fun until then. I have already destroyed a Jag light-wieght on the same immovable object.

The fezz 1:42, the jag was a little quicker? forgotten.

They found it
[/tears of JOY]
it lost a bar code, so what do they do? just leave it in the corner for a few days, rather than reconcile it. May be they have an end of year give away of all the 'lost' goods? :tape:
Anyway, it should be in Morrabbin today!, Thanks for kind offer Steve, it is appreciated. I will pick it up tomorrow, talk car crap with my mates, drink some tea, talk surfing exploits.

I am struggling with the rFactor version, i just can't seem to get the same flow i was able to get, sliding through the last seies of corners starting before the bridge. I am hoping it is a setup issue, looks like i will have to stay out of COD this weekend, and tweak...

Hopefully it will be a fitting track to end the seaon on, however, it will have a lot to live up to after last round, i can't believe how well Puka ended up being. close racing and everyone seemed to have a great time, well most people... Sorry Glen :)

Sounds like we are all close in times, take the benz for a drive Jeff, it is really good. Well it would be if it went faster, it turns in so well, watch the stock steering lock though 10 degrees!

If i can get the lightweight to turn in like the benz we will be onto a winner

I can see a few setups being swapped over the next couple of days :bananapartyhat:

I just went and checked my old lap times from P&G.

In the Mustang, i was doing 1:38's. I would have sworn the laps were quicker!! they certainly felt quicker.

I may try and get on tonight. I have to pull my PC down later tonight so i can exchange the motherboard tomorrow!!! Wish me luck, i hope i can get it back to tip top shape for Wednesday

I haven't had a go here yet but I figure the Jag will be the gun car out of this lot. Shame though since the Ferrari is such a nice car to drive and has the sound to boot. Looks as though you blokes have yourselves pretty well sorted with some fast laps already, I will have to try and get some practice in over the weekend to keep up!

OT okay I should have been practising at Snetterton (but the server was empty and I get lonely), jumped on a public server sporting the new Long Beach 2007 1.00 track, nice track. Practising in the Cortina ready for season 3, had a ball.
Race against an Escort and big vette left me wanting, but had plenty of practice with others who were using Elan and a BMW.
Well not being a front runner I'm going Ferrari, it sounds better! But reading through the posts may have to play with the ducting size to get a little extra.

Go the Ferrari! It sounds fantastic :D

So far I have got a 1:37.7 in the Fazza but I reckon there is a little more in it. Gotta work out all this setup stuff, though I did learn a lesson about upping the RPM limit. It's great for smoking your engine in under a lap ^_^.

it woud take awhile (hours) Maybe look at other things first, for instance if everyone else doesnt have any problems then maybe it could be his ISP or a program running in the background on his machine.

no it just said server disconneted, I was on last so maybe it was on my end

Drove the Jag got into the high 1:37min don't think I can go faster.

Love the fazza sounds great its a pity it just isn't fast enough, the Jag sounds like your strangling a cat!

But I think its the best car, looks like im going to have to find another 3 sec a lap to kept up with you guys:bounce:

Pretty sure the fezz is a little easier on them (or its how I drive both cars)

I always found it is down to the driver, the faster you go the quicker you go through tyres. But its the really quick guys that can go fast and conserve the car :)

Hi chaps,

I'm doing mid 37's in the fezz, and can't really seem to squeeze anymore out of it?? I think maybe i'm wheel spinning too much on all the oil leaking out of the Jags !! anyone got any saw dust handy,

I don't think Bond, Jeff Bond :spy: has any sawdust, but i believe he has a secret compartment full of tacks that he intends dropping on the track. You could try and sweet talk him into swapping the tacks for sawdust, but i wouldn't hold my breath.
