So I am helping Glen get this Historix league underway and I was thinking about what sort of league it should be. I figured it would probably be best to get an idea of what those interested are looking for in this league. But before that I will give you guys a bit of a rundown of what I reckon.
I used to race in the XGN GTL league a while back, maybe some of you did too. I found the way Ysu and Speed approached the league setup was great in that it promoted competitive, clean and fun racing with respect to others, on and off track, over coming first or being the fastest. Don't get me wrong, we all wanted to win but not at the sacrifice of everyones enjoyment. This is something I would like to continue with the Historix league not just because of the obvious link with the chosen cars etc but simply because it made it a great league and community to be a part of. I don't really mind what we race or what track as long as everyone can finish their night looking forward to the next meet. Hopefully you guys feel the same way .
Now, I need feedback from you guys. A few questions... bear with me :bored:
Copy and paste this with your answer in your post (the answers in brackets are my answers and you don't need to copy them)
How long would you like the season to be? (ie. 10 rounds)
Weekly or fortnightly rounds? (Weekly)
One longer race or two shorter sprints or combination? (Two shorter Sprints)
Preferred night/s for racing (I believe F1A have Sunday and Monday)? (Wednesday/Saturday/Friday)
Pitstops? (no, maybe next season ;))
Single car make rounds? (yes, one or two)
That would help a lot in organising a schedule. I think because this is our first season we will start off small with the TC-65 cars (and possibly the faster minis and fiats). I haven't quite worked out what to do regarding the different performance cars so I am open to suggestions. There was a couple of different systems that worked well in the GTL league so I may adopt one of them. As for tracks I will open another thread for track suggestions.
Well thats all I can think of right now but this should be plenty to kick off discussions and start getting this on the road. Please, please post if there is anything I am missing or you believe will contribute to the league, as half of running a good league is having good an active community.
I turn it over to you :ear:
