i think about the cost cutting im all for it , in some area's like F1 teams dont need 4000 staff to put a car on a track , so i rekon they should have a set limit number of staff per team & upto the team on where to put there resources into.
As for standard engine from one maker is an extremely poor idea its one reason why the sport is so big. im all for an engine blue print where 50% of the engine has to be the same as all teams to try & peg the faster teams back alittle.
& the areo dynamic packages should only be allowed to have like 3 or 4 wings on car instead of the like 16 lol
do F1 cars need to weigh a certain weight ?
as for the bias for ferrari i agree , i think F1 bosses are corrupted & there not big fans of merc & hamilton so they played hardball againts merc

no in-race refueling
does this mean no fueling when pitting????
If so its stupid....cause there goes half the stragety game.
I think Formula one is going down the drain.

maybe watching a race from 1985 would open your eyes slightly.
there's no need to cost cut, or make formula one cars "greener". Formula one should be the spectacle and pinnacle, not a half-hearted cost saving 2020 10,000 rpm Anthony squires cool stream summer weight sport.

Its good to see you're on top of things here. I don't know what we'd do without you. :bounce:
The most important costs cuts imo need to come from one Mr Ecclestone.

2012
*Similar chassis
*Low fuel usage
*Very little work put into making attractive car

2013
*"Street Circuits" seen as being too expensive to modify, FIA decide to race on public streets in new earth-friendly F1 cars. Collisions are common in the streets as new bike-chassis based cars are forced to manoeuvre around traffic. http://www.hahastop.com/pictures/Bike_Crash.jpg
2014
*Bernie Ecclestone killed after escaping from an insane asylum , in which he suddenly believed he was the next Michael Schumacher. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-162891478515007486 (Roughly 50 seconds in)
2015
*All remaining Formula One teams realise the only reason prices started skyrocketing was because of Mr. Ecclestone's demand for more action on track.
2016
*Formula One is remodeled and vehicles are returned to the state of the early-to-mid 2000s. Sadly, however, only three fans remain - James Allen and his two sons, Lewis Allen and James-Lewis Allen.
And That is the future.

There was obviously a time when teams were making more money than losing it. How can it be so hard to go back to the times when drivers raced for themselves, a time when World Champions weren't either one driver or the guy who is next to him every year? The man behind it is the man trying to stop the crisis, he who tries to change the sport each year just to put an extra penny in his wallet.
There must be somebody out there not so driven by greed that they lose sight of what the fans want. The sport may not have the most overtaking, but changing the rules to have more points, medals, the same engine, isn't going to fix that. Some teams will always adapt to rules better than others.
I was very happy with how this season ran. Despite the Valencia race and some steward decisions, 2008 was - to me - yet another exciting season. Sure, if the sport is going to have to cut down on expenses to survive - save as much money as you can - DON'T try and make the sport as boring as watching two snails feast on a leaf.
I watch the sport because the competition is fast, exciting and the drivers are racing as fast as they can each and every lap. Sure, we want to save as much money as we can - the more you save, the easier your life is. Making everything equal will, yes, save you money. The downside is that it will NOT increase the number of viewers. Yeah, let's save some money - BUT at the same time let's charge extortionate prices for hosting races.
Canada, France, The United States Of America, Australia quite possibly in the near future, China looking to leave, Hockenheim also, Silverstone, the home of British Motor sport, being ditched for Donnington due to both financial and being "structurally unfit" for Bernie Ecclestone. How much can he possibly be charging? If i went to a Grand Prix, which i plan to in the next two or three years, i'm not overly worried if the establishment isn't fit for people with yearly paychecks of at least six figures. I'll still stand there, i'll cheer for my team and congratulate the winner whoever it is. We, the fans, are not demanding 5 star establishments. We want to see the races, we only want to support the sport we love so dearly.
Sure, we may be in a financial problem at the moment, but the FIA aren't exactly the most financially-insecure establishment on the planet. You may not get payed quite as much, but just keep the sport the way it has been in the past.
