My Post Processing filter
« on: May 14, 2015, 10:15:28 PM »
There was a little talk on Thursday night about post processing filters and auto exposure. Here's the filter I use. You drop it in your Steam\steamapps\common\assettocorsa\system\cfg\ppfilters folder and then select it (PP Wally2) in your options or using the post process filter option on track.

I have a little auto exposure, and have set the brightness/contrast/saturation the way I like it.

Your mileage may vary :)

Hi Wally,

I had a peek at the contents of the file and see you have FIXED_WIDTH=1280 set

Is this because you run one screen?

With 3 screens should I have 5760?

That's just the size of a small buffer the post-processing filter uses for optimisation. It doesn't need to match your resolution, and in fact should be smaller to give you a tiny amount of optimisation. I don't know how much difference it actually makes though.

I did some races at 0800 and the craptacular rays were very natural, as well as not being overly bright at midday.
Nice job Wally. ;)
I like this more and more. ;D

I can't figure out how to select it.

I've saved it into the directory,  but in game when I use the PPF app it doesn't come up???

Did you put it in the right folder? That's the only thing I can think of that could go wrong.

ahh, figured out why. It saved as a text document instead of configuration setting.  Just saved as with .ini at the end of the name and all good.

I'm glad it's PPF i thought for a minute it was PPE, which we all know is unhygienic to share.
I might give this a go. Is it like ballast?
