Apps
« on: November 20, 2014, 09:18:15 AM »
Ok I think it's over time for this thread.

I'll list apps here, and update the first post with anything we deem worthwhile.

I ask for your help, guys, please post apps that you use and find good;  You can also notify me in this thread if you know of an update or change the app, and I'll try to keep up with it.  We can come up with categories later, if there's a lot.

If you want to "submit" an app, please provide all info you can in the format that I only need to copy & paste; I'm a lazy bastard and I don't want to do it :)

Danny Giusa Tyre Temp v1.5.1
Features:
  • temperature display, temperature range is automatically adapted to tyre type
  • dirt display
  • wear display
  • temperature range display for one lap
  • pressure display
  • selectable tyre type (if the tyre is not recognized correctly by the app)
  • different app styles (normal and tiny), accessable by a double click on the app

Ferrito live car tracker v0.8.2
ferito-LiveCarTracker is a live car tracking window that display the distance, in time, of the cars relative to the drivers car position.
This application is very similar to the iRacing relative cars panel.
It works on single and multiplayer sessions.
On practice and qualify sessions, it display the relative position to the cars ahead and behind.
On race session it also show cars that are ahead on race (cars that are close to lap the driver) and cars behind on race (cars that are close to be lapped by the driver)
Opacity, number of slots to display, font size and colors can be defined on a configuration file.
Notification flags for race session (start, last lap, finish) and blue flag notifications are included.

Track Map Display v1.12

Dude, have you seen the apps sub-forum?

of course not :) I'll move it, then.

Edit: hm...I'm wondering now if there's any benefit of such a post.

I mean this is what I envisaged; a structured, formatted post where people can find those apps that are worth looking at - and in this regard the apps subforum is not necessarily fully functional in its current format.  Or is it?

Is it easy to review all the apps in the subforum format or not?

(And I won't even start on how easy to miss the subforum...even I did it as you can see :D)

Don't get me wrong, I'm trying to make it useful, not mess with you :)
